Patented drop-in refrigerants
Cut HVAC energy use up to 40% — without replacing a single piece of equipment
Precision Cold refrigerants reduce compressor friction, so the systems you already own draw less power for the same cooling output. Validated across 10+ years of independent lab and field studies.
To add to your savings, your energy reduction can be converted into carbon credits — quantifiable cuts you can monetize or put toward ESG targets.
Figures from independent lab and field studies; results vary by system age, load profile, and operating conditions.

Patented
U.S. Patent 10,731,064
AHRI-700 compliant
Chemistry, boiling point, and pressure curves unchanged
True drop-in
No hardware modifications, no retrofit downtime
10+ years fielded
Zero reported system failures or warranty issues
The lineup
Six SKUs. Every legacy system covered.
Each Precision Cold refrigerant is a drop-in for the refrigerant your equipment already runs — same chemistry and pressure curves, less compressor friction.
Why Precision
Lower bills. Lower emissions. Zero retrofit.
Up to 40%
Energy savings
Documented minimum of 10%, median of 20%, with upper ranges exceeding 40% in independent studies. In most cases the savings pay for the product within one year.

Sustainability
Less energy means lower scope-2 emissions, measurable progress toward frameworks like LL97, and reductions that can be quantified — and potentially monetized — through carbon-credit programs.
Drop-in
Compatibility
Compatible with scroll, reciprocating, and screw compressors. AHRI-700 compliant chemistry; ASHRAE 97 stability confirmed. Your equipment and maintenance provider stay exactly as they are.

Outfitting a facility or a fleet?
Volume pricing, deployment guidance, and measurement & verification support for multi-site rollouts.
EPA Section 608: regulated refrigerants are sold only to certified technicians and qualifying businesses. Certification details are collected at checkout and purchase records are retained as required.
Hazmat shipping: refrigerant cylinders are compressed gas — ground service only, adult signature required, lower-48 US addresses, no PO boxes.
FAQ
Questions, answered
Is Precision Cold really a drop-in replacement?
Yes. The chemistry is AHRI-700 compliant — boiling point and pressure curves are unchanged from the refrigerant your system was designed for. No hardware modifications are required. The improvement is mechanical: a tribological enhancement reduces the compressor's coefficient of friction and wear rate, so it draws less power to do the same work.
How much energy will I actually save?
Independent lab and field studies show a minimum of 10% energy savings, a median of 20%, and upper ranges exceeding 40%. Results vary by system age, load profile, and operating conditions — older, harder-working systems tend to see more. In most cases the savings pay for the product within one year.
Will it void my equipment warranty?
The refrigerant chemistry, boiling point, and pressure curves your equipment was designed for are unchanged, and the product has operated in the field for over 10 years with zero reported system failures or warranty issues. As with any refrigerant decision, confirm with your OEM or service provider for equipment still under manufacturer warranty.
Who is allowed to purchase refrigerant?
Under EPA Section 608 sales restrictions, regulated refrigerants may only be sold to certified technicians (or businesses that employ them and resellers). We collect your certification details at checkout and retain purchase records as EPA requires.
Which compressors is it compatible with?
Scroll, reciprocating, and screw compressors. ASHRAE 97 stability testing confirmed decomposition below 0.05% and dissolved metals below 1 ppm.
How does shipping work?
Refrigerant cylinders are compressed gas and ship as hazardous materials: ground service only, adult signature required, no PO boxes, lower-48 US addresses. Exact carriers, handling times, and hazmat fees are confirmed at checkout.
Can I order in bulk for a facility or fleet?
Yes — that's most of our business. Use the bulk order form and we'll come back with volume pricing and deployment guidance, typically within one business day.
Where are the safety data sheets?
Every SKU has an SDS available from the SDS & Catalogs page and from its product page. If you need a format or revision you don't see, contact us and we'll send it directly.
